City of Heroes character renaming and transfers delayed
 Character transfers and renaming in City of Heroes was slated to be available by September 19. However, some problems that weren't encountered in the beta phase of implementation surfaced. These problems have forced the developers to disable these functions until further notice.
The systems are being fixed with NCSoft
assuring players that they're doing what they can to get these features
out for the public to use. There was no word on what the problems were
specifically. Community Relations Manager Lighthouse did mention though
that the issue was with the design of the system itself.
While some would expect that the players would be rather hostile about this set-back
(as seen in other MMORPGs), most of them were actually very nice and
polite about it, cheering on the game's developers and programmers.
Some of them even said that they've been waiting for some time to get
these features anyway, so what's a few more days right?
When
character transfers and renaming are made available, players will be
charged a fee of US$ 9.99 for using it. A good investment if you're not
enjoying the people on your server any longer or are just tired of the
name you picked but still want to keep your old character.
