WoW: Blizzard’s E3 Yawn
WORLD OF WARCRAFT: The new version of E3, in all of
its squelched glory, is in full-swing and any excitement we may have
had regarding a possible WORLD OF WARCRAFT expansion unveiling has now
passed. We got bubkiss. Nothing on a Diablo 3 or WarCraft IV either.
Blizzard have released a few WoW details
regarding the upcoming Zul’Aman instance, integrated voice chat and
guild banks - all features we knew about already and are set to arrive
soon in the next big free patch. Consider me “underwhelmed”. I guess we
must assume that Blizzard is saving the big stuff for Blizzcon next month. Here’s hoping.
“The big news is the new Zul’Aman area, an outdoor
dungeon in the mid-level Ghostlands area near the blood elves’
homeland. The dungeon is inhabited by the forest trolls who first made
their debut in Blizzard’s real-time strategy game Warcraft II. (’Trolls
love the outdoors,’ explains vice president of game design Rob Pardo.)” |
