Flyff v8: Say hello to Iske and Bubble
Good news for loyal followers of the massively multiplayer online role-playing game Fly For Fun: Version 8 is coming, and with it a plethora of system-wide changes sure to whet the appetites of thousands of Flyff players nationwide.
In the latest installment, the game’s developer, Aeonsoft, is scrapping the upgrade items known in-game as Power Dice—4, 6, and 12 for damage and defense upgrades, and 8 and 10 for piercing upgrades—for Oricalkum and Moonstone. The effect: You’ll only need Oricalkum to upgrade the damage of your weapon or the defense of your armor, and Moonstone to add sockets.
Another change in item upgrades is that, with Oricalkum, you can safely upgrade up to +1 and +2. It’s not clear, however, whether further upgrades will suffer success penalties equal to those listed in previous versions of the game.
Say goodbye to drab skill and buff icons as Version 8 brings them to you in full color. The new patch also provides you with a new motion icon called “Attack Target,” which, when activated, orders your avatar to find the next available target, sparing you a few precious click from your mouse’s wear and tear.
What is perhaps the most interesting change in the game is the inclusion of two famous Roikan characters—Iske and Bubble—as new NPCs. Their roles: Hair Designer and Plastic Surgeon.

Are you tired with the way your hair looks? Iske, the Hair Designer, can spruce it up for you. Select from a wide variety of styles and colors, click on “OK,” and your done. Of course, like all in-game modifications, changing your avatar’s hairstyle comes with a price.
If you feel your character’s looks are too fierce or, sheesh, too lame, fear not—Bubble the Plastic Surgeon can change that ugly mug. The options are the same as that of Iske’s salon. |
