When you release a nigh-essential expansion for a game that boasts around 8 million players, and you're going to make a tidy bit of cash. Perhaps the next World of Warcraft expansion won't take nearly as long to come out now that Vivendi's games division has reported a 117% rise in revenues for the first quarter of 2007 over last year, amounting to a whopping $394 million.
The expansion not only drew in new players across the world, but saw old players returning to type /silly and /flirt several times over, chuckle to themselves, and then go back to whatever it was they were doing. Michael Fahey
