On May 15, all Public Preview accounts will become ‘Trial Accounts’. Trial users are allowed to play for free for as long as they wish. However, the Trial Account comes with a few restrictions:
- Trial users can not level past 15.
- Gifting is disabled for all Trial users.
- Trial users can not purchase an extra character slot.
- Trial users can not purchase bills.
- Public Preview accounts with characters above level 15 will have their levels frozen. See Example below.
For example, a level 24 Point Guard will still be allowed to transfer to the Live Service as a Trial user, they will simply be frozen at their current level until the account is upgraded to Full. However, even when a character has been level capped, they will continue to earn experience for each game they play. So after playing a few weeks capped at level 15, a user who upgrades that account could potentially be at level 20 or more.
Any Public Preview user who purchases FreeStyle Street Basketball, or upgrades their existing account on our website, will automatically become a Full user which will remove any level restrictions on that character.

- Access to all 45 levels
- The ability to add bills to your account
- The ability to gift items to other players
- The ability to purchase additional character slots
