Ok for those new to Refining here you go with Pictures to assist you.

All refinement's have to be done 1 plus at a time, IE +1, then +2 and so on to +8 then +9.. It a +1 per step..

First get what you need. +1 and +2 are bought off the General Store Merchant in Hefei.



+1 is the Black one seen below.



+2 is the White one seen below.



Now to get a +3 you need one Blood Essence, you then turn it into the Refinement Material Merchant in Hefei.



and you will receive this.



Now onto the important part and the gamble part. Take note it seems +1 and +2 are very high success rate, but +3 and on up become harder and more of a Gamble. There is a Gamble to all Refinements so only do it at your own risk. If the refinement fails you will lose your weapon and materials.

So to refine visit the Master Refiner in Hefei.



A new window opens with a space for your Weapon, and then it will list the needed item. If its a clean weapon you will start with a level 1 refinement and work up, however if you have a +2 and want +3 all you will need is the Blood of Mist Dragon. Here is a list and if you ever forget how many you need goto your living tab ingame and click on the Resorce Collection tab, in the left pain is a selection that shows the Blood Essence.

Name +Refinement Level (number of Blood Essence)

Blood of Sleeping Dragon +1 (bought off npc above)
Blood of Crouching Dragon +2 (bought off npc above)
Blood of Mist Dragon +3 (1)
+4 (2)
+5 (4)
+6 (7)
+7 (10)
+8 (15)
+9 (20)

Total Blood Essence needed for a +9 Refinement is 59.

Ok each Refinement costs a refining cost. If anyone knows the missing costs please post and i will update this.

Refinement 1 = 1,000
Refinement 2 = 3,000
Refinement 3 = 5,000
Refinement 4 = ?
Refinement 5 = ?
Refinement 6 = ?
Refinement 7 = ?
Refinement 8 = ?
Refinement 9 = ?

Ok when you hit +3 your weapon will not only gain damage, but it will glow. If there is diffrent glows for more +'s please post a SS and let me know if i can copy it into this main post.

This weapon cost me 14,000 Gold and 1 Blood Essence that i had. For the first two materials and all 3 refinements.


Again take note that Refinement is a Gamble so do not come crying on the boards when you lose your weapon and cash. It is at your own risk and the NPC explains this to you, so you are warned here and ingame. Good Luck.
