The Little Mage that Could(n't) **updated**
Let me introduce you to a little mage with big dreams, Mr. DickFitzwell. I had the privilege of following Mr. Fitzwell around on his quest to conquer one of the most feared monsters, Captain Glaphan. Some of you might say they aren't that fearful at all, but at level 58, it's the last thing you would want to encounter. Is it possible for a level 58 mage to defeat a level 104 monster? Come with me and find out...
"The Meeting" Darkon City--Day 1--7:35 PM It was raining. I move through the crowd of sellers and finally find our hero, Mr. Fitzwell. He is carefully reading up on his spells. When he first told me that he was going to be the first and only character still on their first job to kill a glaphan, I couldn't help but to burst out laughing. He decides that he needs more time, so we say our goodbyes and head our ways.

"The Preparation" Darkon City--Day 3--5:48 PM This rain will just not stop. I meet up with our hero at the city bank. He needed to withdraw some money to buy supplies to get him ready for the big hunt. He reassures me that he only needs a few star candies and refreshers and he should be good. Not to mention he needs a little bit of luck along with the items. He still feels that he needs a day or two to prepare. I am beginning to doubt if he really can kill a Captain Glaphan...

"The Journey" Frekin, Darkon 3--Day 4--2:28 PM I wake up early to meet with our hero at the city. We both hop on our boards and head towards the Glaphs. The temperature begins to rise, but I can handle it. In the distance we can see the gate to the Guardians, and we know that we are near. When we reach the gate, night has already fallen, so we decide to rest until the next day.

"The Encounter" Frekin, Darkon 3--Day 5--1:02 AM Why did he have to wake me up this early? I could still be sleeping... oh well. It is still dark outside so I can’t really see which direction we are headed to. We start our way towards the gate. I see ahead of us that there are a group of Small Glaphans. Luckily, they let us by with not even a look. We finally reach the Guardians, but now the real test is to come.

"The Fight" Darkon 3--Day 5--1:18 AM Wow, I have never seen one of these up close and personal. They are scary looking. Our hero tells me to stay back because some of them are aggravated easily. He begins to warm up with some pushups and then he kneels for a prayer. I still am not sure if he will be able to kill one, but I pray with him too. "Chhhaaaarrrgggggeeee!!!!" He runs within striking range of the Captain Glaphan. He begins to charge up his Fire Strike. His wand, waving in the air, omits a red glare. He fires off his first flare--a direct hit. The Glaphan turns around and begins to come after our hero. With only one hit of 2000+ damage, our hero falls to the floor. I think he may of forgotten that they were nearly twice his level. He vowed that one day he will avenge himself... one day...

“The Return”
Day 12 – Darkon 2 – 4:45 PM
It has been a week since our hero failed at doing the impossible. I wanted to find out what he has been up to, so I contacted him. It turns out our hero is now a Psykeeper—not only a Psykeeper, but also a War Mage. He told me he has been practicing, and will continue to do so until he is able to kill that Captain Glaphan.
