MMOsite Space - Your Own Gaming Space

Ok so i see all these ads for RF online great job Marketing i couldn't get away from noticing the ads.

So i take the offer up for a 6 day trial from mmorpg.com
7 days free trip from mmosite.com

First problem i get into is getting the game client and patches on the main website there is no info or download links for them. So i sit there waiting for 8 hours and then dig out information from somewhere that there are downloadable patches.

SUGGESTION: Please update your site with links to patches and clients would help new players really.

Next problem well not really a problem but more of a hassle that i had to sign up to two different Codemaster sites. One for a subscription to the game and another for these forums surely they could combine them to take the hassle out of filling out registration info twice!?!?

SUGGESTION: Combine the subscription and forum accounts

Ok so i finally get the game take the very very very short tutorial and i think great lets get started. I am completely and utterly lost running around everywhere not knowing what the hell im looking at or what to do untill i start spamming local chat HELP HELP!! what do i do etc.. after about 10 minutes i get some help.

SUGGESTION: Improve the tutorial to help with things such as explaining what the services are for etc.. the sundries Map feature etc...

So finally i figure out how to level and do the quests and i get started i happily start hacking and slashing my way through the quests. Until im told to go to another location to get a different Mob sette desert. So i go there and again completely and utterly lost

SUGGESTION: Offer hint in journal where to buy maps from for said location for the first new location

Right now with that sorted im way too low on funds and i heard something or other about mining. So i head out to the mine fields with my reward mining battery. I equip the thing but theres no help on how to turn the thing on (Hitting A on keyboard) so again im completely lost and have to spam Map chat for help which takes 10 minutes before someone tells you.

SUGGESTION: Cover this in tutorial or when giving the reward give instructions on how to use it

Its day four now and its starting to get really hard leveling after looking through several guides on google i find some info that grouping and taking on harder level mobs will help you gain better XP. So i spam Map and Local and i find myself more or less ignored. Im playing more solo in RF online than solitaire. You see all these people running around and you seem not to be able to get any help at all its a very frustration new player experience.

SUGGESTION: Create a Looking for Party status for people with 5 levels of you and for party leaders create a Looking for party members for people within 5 levels of them. This would help player interaction alot more and improve new player experience.

Also it seems alot of guilds don't recruit new players or even when they get to lvl 30. It seems i'll be solo for a very very long time till i get to the coveted lvl 40 special requirement needed to have any success.

In conclusion i like the game in terms of the completies it involves, graphics and what not. I was just expecting a better experience i almost did cancel my account. Only reason im sticking around is in the hopes that my gameplay will improve. If further development is being made on the game i would strongly suggest improving new player experiences. For without a solid foundation on which to ease new players into the game and keep them there and veterans leaving the game it will ultimately drop total numbers and kill the game.
