The Cloud Of Love
The Cloud Of Love
Travelled from afar, the little Kucha had just arrived in a peaceful town named Flarine. She figured the town was exactly what she had been dreaming of for years. It was quiet, friendly, and it wouldn’t surprise her much if it had come right out of a storybook. She loved it and decided to stay there for a while. She talked to the people there some, and soon heard there was a war going on. Hearing that news was a little shocking, because the town had looked so peaceful on the first sight. But then she noticed what she didn’t notice before; the blacksmiths were busy forging their weapons, the major looked concerned and spoke to some warriors that looked very very strong.
She gazed at them and then suddenly a boy of her age grabbed her hand. “Follow me,” he whispered, and he ran around a corner. “Hi,” he said. “My name is Lavendis.” Kucha blinked and asked what was going on. “It’s war,” he replied. “You’re new here, are you? I figured as soon as I saw your clothes, they don’t come from here, do they? And your eyes are an unusual color, too.” Kucha nodded. “My name is Kucha, and I am from somewhere far away. I thought this place would be a good place to live, but now it doesn’t seem so peaceful anymore.” Lavendis looked at her and said; “It’s not too great here. Too quiet, usually. Never thought something exciting like this was gonna happen, really.” He looked down and saw he was still holding Kucha’s hand. He blushed, and muttered; “Oh! Err, sorry! Here’s your hand back.” Kucha grinned. “Heh, no problem. Wish there was something I could do to help this town, though. When this war is over, I’d love to live here... However boring you say it is, it couldn’t be so bad, right?” Lavendis smiled. “Hey, do you have any talents?” he asked. “Err, like what?” Kucha blinked. “Hmm.. like fighting, or something.. wait.. you don’t look too strong, heh. Maybe you can heal?” The girl shaked her head. “I had classes in that, but failed all of them. I’m pretty decent at magic though.” The smile on Lavendis’ face widened, as he replied. “Magic! That’s just great! Follow me, you can join the Magician Guild. You’ll be able to grow strong and help fight in the war.”
And so they did. Lavendis, who appeared to be an Assist, took Kucha to the Magician guild, where they tested her skills. She didn’t do bad, and the teacher even said her skills were remarkable for someone her age. Not much later she gained a small, blue badge which proved that she was a mage.
“Now all you need are some other clothes,” Lavendis said. Kucha nodded. “Let’s get me some, then. Perhaps we can find something matching my haircolor.” They went to the tailor, and found a very cute, blue outfit and a huge pointy hat. “You look lovely!” Lavendis said, and Kucha blushed. “Hehe, thanks! Let’s try to become a little stronger, so we can help!”
Lavendis searched in his pockets and found what he was looking for. A small capsule, which he threw on the ground. A fluffy, blue cloud popped out. “Sit on this, Kucha!” he said, and so she did. He jumped on too, but there wasn’t much space, so he had to sit behind Kucha, really close to her. They both were a bit awkward. “Hold on tight!” Lavendis screamed, and my gosh, the cloud flied! Really high, and higher, and higher. “Wow,” Kucha whispered. “It’s beautiful up here!” Lavendis nodded. “It really is.....”
All of a sudden, the cloud started to dive. Kucha didn’t expect that, and fell off. “KUCHA!” Lavendis screamed, and before thinking again he had jumped after her. He reached for her.. She tried reaching for him.. and.. phew. They grabbed each others hand. But they were still falling! Lavendis pulled Kucha closer to protect her from the fall.. In this embrace, they fell.. and then it felt like.. slowmotion.. they had stopped falling, and were slowly floating down. Then they reached the floor.
“Thank god,” Kucha said. “What the heck just happened?” She sat down on the floor, trying to calm down some. Lavendis shaked his head. “I don’t know. I just remember wanting to protect you, and I wished we’d be safe.. and then we stopped falling... Thank god we’re safe.” Kucha saw his expression of relief and with a shock she realized he risked his life to safe her. If he hadn’t jumped after her, she’d probably be dead by now. Her heart was thumping, and not because of her almost-dead experience. Lavendis looked into her eyes, and she threw herself into his arms. He wrapped his arms around her and they stood like that for a moment. Then, Kucha broke the silence. “Your cloud is gone, now, though...” Lavendis nodded. “I lost my cloud, but it’s not a bad thing.. I saved you, and you’re much more important to me then a stupid cloud... Besides, it was his fault that you almost died...” He looked kind of sad. “But I didn’t,” Kucha whispered. “Thanks to you.” Lavendis stroke her hair and smiled. “Kucha,” he said, “I want to be with you. I promise I’ll always protect you from harm, and I shall always stay by your side..” He had turned a little red. “I gladly accept your offer,” Kucha grinned, “and I’ll never leave your side either. But let’s.. not fly anymore o_o’’!” “It’s a deal then!” Lavendis replied. Then, Kucha pointed at the sky, which had turned orange. “Look!” She grabbed Lavendis’ hand. “It’s so pretty!” he sighed. “Let’s be together forever.” Kucha nodded, and her eyes searched for his. For a second, they looked each other in the eyes.. and then they kissed.
They both felt this was the beginning of a lovely romance. The clouds knew it too.. cause a heart was drawn way up high, in the sky. Maybe the cloud that had brought them together? Who knows. For now, all that’s certain, is that Lavendis and Kucha will always be together!
