Does anyone have any links to some good guides describing talics (including what T1, T2, etc means) and what elementals are, how they are used, etc.

I don't have any links sorry, but:

T1, T2 etc generally stands for Tier 1 (the lowest level), Tier 2 (next highest) etc - these are sometimes used when referring to skills too, for example Basic skills would be Tier 1 (T1), Experts Tier 2 (T2) etc

To upgrade a piece of equipment, the equipment must have a free slot, equipment can have 1 to 7 slots. You need to buy an uprading tool (from sundries I think). Right click on it, place the item you want to upgrade into it, insert the talic, insert the materials (usually 4 gems) you want to use to assist the upgrade, and hit the button.

Note that you don't actually have to have gems in the upgrader to perform the upgrade attempt, but chances of success are infinitesimal - the higher tier gems used, the greater the chance of success. Gems are available from T1 to T4, but T4s are only available from +4 ore (which comes from a guild having access to one of the settlement UMTs for a week).

Hi I found this info in the guide for RF. Figured it was easier to explain. THe url is at the bottom so u cn check that out too. but basically these are all the talics and their uses. I think the other dude explained all the stuff about the jems and how the base jems are T1 and the best jems are T4s. They are used ofr diferent times in upgrading. I tend to use T1s and T2s for the first upgrade cuz that one is the easiest. Now depending on what kind of armor or weapon u are upgrading the nxt few tries will hv to be with better jems. If u hv an intense part of armor or weapon u can blow that up if u fail going for the third talic. If it just regular then it will blow if u fail on the 5th. ANd any purple weapon will blow going for the 4th. Basically use T1s and T2s for the first few and T3s if u are on the last slot B4 it can blow. Now if u are trying an upgrade where u can blow ur item then use either T3s or T4s. THought T4s r better we hv found that they are "bugged" in a way. The saynig for T4s is that it'll go or blow. So ull either get it in or blow it up in stead of just failing. Now T3s hv a less rate of success but tend to not blow ur item ull just fail and still hv all of ur stuff.
